My legal career began in the Caribbean when I studied for the Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in the islands of Barbados and Jamaica. After receiving my LLB with First Class Honors, I served as Assistant Crown Counsel for the Attorney General's Chambers in Kingston, Jamaica.
My second legal chapter began in North Carolina where I worked for the Legal Aid of North Carolina in Winston-Salem. After taking a break to focus on my family, I completed a Juris Doctor degree at Vanderbilt University where I earned the Order of the Coif.
Since then, I’ve been privileged to work in big law in Indianapolis, in a medium-sized defense firm in St. Louis and in a small firm in Cassville, in the beautiful Ozarks region.
These experiences- across countries, states and firms- led me to create Hannam Estate, Litigation & Probate, LLC - Hannam Law. Hannam Law provides legal services to the residents of Wentzville, St. Charles County, St. Louis and its surrounding areas in estate planning, civil litigation and probate law.

A circuit court found in favor of our clients who, years after purchasing a foreclosed property, were sued by the adjoining property owner who argued that their home, garden and storm shelter were on her property. The Court agreed with our clients that for over twenty years, the owners of both properties had agreed to treat a line of trees, shrubs and structures as the boundary and that our clients had established title to the disputed land by adverse possession. Although our clients had not been in possession for the required 10 years, the court found that they could “tack on” the bank’s possession because the bank had possessed the property by mowing it and paying taxes. A circuit court agreed with our clients that their neighbor was not entitled to keep his animals and property on almost 2 acres of their property. The neighbor claimed that he owned the disputed property because the prior owners had acquiesced in a new boundary (marked partially by a fence) for over ten years prior to our clients purchasing their property. The circuit court disagreed. The court held that neighbor did not plead the necessary elements the legal boundary was uncertain or disputed or that the prior adjoining owners had acquiesced or agreed to a dividing line. Even if he had plead those elements the court agreed with us that there was insufficient evidence of these elements. The court turned the tables and ordered the neighbor to remove the items he placed on our clients’ property and pay damages for his trespass.
